It is the nursery staff's goal to provide a loving, safe, Christian environment for each child so children will find being at church a pleasant experience. A Sunday school program is offered for children age 2 (by Sept. 1) to 4 years old in the Toddler Nursery. The Infant Nursery is available for children from birth to 2 years old.

Identification Tags

Identification tags are used for the protect of each child. Each child receives a number upon sign-in which will be used for the child's belongings and pick-up. Only the parent (or a person designated by the parent) is allowed to pick up the child from the nursery.

Check-In Procedure

At the time of check-in, a form is given to parents/guardians to fill in information for security and emergency reasons. The child will be assigned a number which will be put on his/her name tag and the parent will be given an identification tag with the same number. All belongings must be labeled with the child's name.

For security, nursery attendants will assist your child through the door. You may enter the nursery only if asked by a nursery attendant.

If your child is visibly unhappy and is crying when you leave, and continues to be upset for 15 minutes, we will page you. Otherwise you can be assured that your child has calmed down and is enjoying their experience in the nursery.

Pick-Up Procedure

Please pick up your child promptly – within 10 minutes – after the service unless he/she is staying for Sunday School and you have marked this on the sign-in sheet. FOR YOUR PROTECTION: Before the nursery worker can release you child to you, the identification tag that you received during sign-in must be given to the nursery assistant.

Cry Room

A room is available between the nurseries where caregivers can take children in need of extra comfort / quiet. The service is carried over the speaker system into the room so you can continue to listen.

Crib / Feeding Room

A quiet place in the crib room adjoining the infant nursery rooms is available as a place to feed your child during a service or class.

Help Prevent the Spread of Illness

Please do not bring your child to the nursery when he/she is not feeling well. Signs of illness are:

  • unusual fatigue or irritability
  • coughing, sneezing or thick discharge from nose
  • fever of 101 or higher
  • inflamed mouth or throat
  • vomiting or diarrhea

For the Diaper Bag

Please provide the following labeled items in your child's diaper bag:

  • 2 or more disposable diapers
  • enough bottles or sippy cups for baby's stay
  • favorite toy or blanket if needed
  • a pacifier, if baby uses one

Please be sure all belongings are labeled.

Our nursery team thanks you for allowing us to care for God's most precious treasures.
