About "SWY"  at SWY

What is Spooner Wesleyan Youth all about? We would like to accomplish THREE things:

S - Serve

Serve - In all that we do - whether it be at school, at home, in the community – be Servants – the kind that point all the glory to God. We attempt to do this through Community Service – Mission Trips (at home, in our country and internationally). We try to foster that serving does not only take place when we are outside our walls, away from our community -- but also within our walls of care and service locally.

W - Worship

Worship – We worship not just with music but, oh so much more! We worship God with our lives - with all that we are. In action, in words, in our deeds, in all that we do. Worship is an expression of our love for God. While we are loved by a God that has a crazy love for us (a love that is difficult to understand when we compare our size to the rest of the world/ universe/galaxy); our worship of Him is our expression of a love for him that is similar – crazy – unexplainable – but evident in our lives.

Y - Yearn

Yearn – From the very tips of our toes to the end of the hair on our heads – we yearn to be Like Jesus, love like Jesus and care like Jesus. Yearning is a deep down expression of hearts and lives.

We recognize that we are not perfect, we’re not – far from it. But we want to be like Jesus and live for Jesus. We strive to be authentic and real, unafraid of what the truth of God really is.
