Youth Mission Trips
Spooner/Shell Lake, Wisconsin
July 2007
Our team was excited to serve our own communities this year. We learned a lot about the many opportunities for us all to volunteer by sharing our time with others in need. The areas where we served during this week were walking through Spooner cleaning up garbage; at the Lakeland Family Resource Center we cleaned toys, floors, planted flowers, weeded, and painted; we also helped at the Washburn County Food Pantry by bagging groceries and organizing donated goods; assisted at the Food Distribution at Spooner Methodist Church; weeded and played with the animals at the Humane Society; and developed relationships with everyone along the way. We took a prayer walk through Spooner, and also visited the Shell Lake Beach and talked to folks about having a relationship with Jesus.
Thank you for the multiple ways you served us on our trip - by giving us a place to stay, serving us meals, and your prayer support. Thank you for your generous hearts!
