Missions

"God isn't looking for people of great faith, but for individuals ready to follow Him."
- Hudson Taylor, Missionary

Billions of souls walk the earth without knowing who Jesus is - without knowing the way to Heaven... this is why being involved in missions is so important.

What is "missions"?

The primary concern of missions is the salvation and discipleship of all people on earth. Missions, from the very beginning, was God's design, vision, and heart. His desire is for us to follow His lead by responding to His will for our lives (Ephesians 2:10).

Why do we "go on missions trips"?

The heart of the matter is, "Love the Lord... Love one another..." (Matthew 22:37-39). Our mission is to tell and teach others about Jesus Christ - to encourage by sharing the same love and grace we have received from Him - with hope it will help save a life, eternally.

How can I respond to God's will for me in missions?

PRAY: "The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field." Luke 10:2

GIVE: "Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver." 2 Corinthians 9:7

GO: "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." Matthew 28:19-20

Endless opportunities await. Missions takes place in our neighborhood, state, nation, continent, and worldwide. If you aren't sure where to start, have questions, or would like to serve on a missions team, please feel free to contact any of us the Missions Committee.
