10:15 AM Outdoor Worship Service

See information below.
No nursery available.

Service Information:

  1. This Sunday in Worship (Aug 9, 8:30 & 10:15), we will be celebrating Communion. In keeping with safety measures related to Corona Virus, we will be using prepackaged Communion elements, handed out as people arrive before the service begins. Also, assuming the weather cooperates, the plan is to again worship outside in the church back parking lot. If rain prohibits, we will move into the sanctuary (masks required inside).

If you are joining us online for worship, let me encourage you to prepare in advance a bit of juice and some bread or cracker…for you and any others who will be joining you. Then, following the sermon, the pastors will be leading in celebrating Communion together.

  2. Regarding the ongoing location of our Sunday morning worship services, the church board just approved outdoor services on an continuing basis (each Sunday, 8:30 and 10:15 a.m., weather permitting) until late September or early October.

Last week in my email / letter, I gave instructions for parking / lawn chairs. Please note one change:

    1. As before, if you plan to remain in your car during the service, drive to the back parking lot and you will be directed where to park.
    2. Otherwise, park in the Front Parking Lot of Church…or, you may be directed by a Parking Attendant to drive to the far North end of the back parking lot to park your car (we are avoiding DNR parking for safety reasons in crossing the road). Once parked, bring your lawn chair to the worship area where ushers will direct seating.
    3. As before, please bring your own lawn chair unless you are seated in your car. Dress for the weather.
    4. Restrooms will be available, mask required.

  3. In these days of isolation and need for extra doses of encouragement, Donna Stelter-Thompson from our church family is offering a “singing call” or “front door serenade” to those who would like to hear their favorite old-time Gospel song. If interested, please call Donna at 715-671-8267, or email her at

Thanks for your time in reading this. Let me encourage you to give the outdoor service a try; we had several come back for the first time last Sunday, and enjoyed it. Otherwise, join us online. Peace.

Your friend,

Pastor Ron

Worship is an important way of knowing God and at Spooner Wesleyan we believe Jesus makes a real difference in the lives of people. He forgives our sin, heals our hurts, helps our marriages and families, and fulfills us personally. What a great God!

Hearing Assistance

There is a T-Loop system in the sanctuary for those with hearing aids. Hearing amplification devices are available from the sound booth at the rear of the sanctuary. If you need assistance, the sound-booth attendants are happy to help.
